Anisakis
In 2010 – 2012, marine and fisheries biologists and fish parasitologists carried out a research project entitled “Condition, reproduction and parasitism in three fish species”.

The project was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Education and involved the Catalan Agency of Public Health, as the parasites (Anisakis) are believed to negatively affect health if ingested (gastrointestinal problems and allergies).
